Effective stability for realistic physical systems

Abstract:
The problem of the stability of an elliptic equilibrium of a
Hamiltonian system is considered in the framework of Nekhoroshev like
theory. In particular, it is shown how a careful evaluation of some
constants by computer allows to obtain realistic results when
considering specific physical systems.
